Terms of Service
Last updated 17 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Chaos for using Chaos. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Chaos.
Chaos is early software in testing. It will have bugs, it may lose data, and features will change. Please do not rely on it for anything that matters yet.
Who can use Chaos
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at hello@joinchaos.ai if you think someone else has got in.
Your content
What you write in Chaos stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your messages, show them to the other people in that conversation, and send the relevant parts to our AI provider so Chaos can answer. We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and we do not sell them.
You are responsible for having the right to post what you post, and for what it does to other people.
What you may not do
- Break the law, or use Chaos to harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate anyone.
- Upload malware, or try to breach, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Scrape it, resell it, or hammer the API outside normal use of the app.
- Add someone to a conversation who has made clear they do not want to be there.
About the AI
Chaos generates suggestions, comparisons and summaries automatically. It gets things wrong. It can be confidently incorrect, miss context, or invent detail. Check anything that matters before acting on it.
Nothing Chaos produces is professional advice. Do not use it for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. A vote inside a conversation is a way for a group to make up its mind — it is not a contract, and it binds nobody.
Availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Chaos at any time. We try to avoid losing your data, but during testing we cannot promise uptime, backups, or that a feature you like will survive.
Ending it
You can stop whenever you like — see Delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. If we close yours without cause we will tell you, where we can.
Disclaimers and liability
Chaos is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, Chaos is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months or ₹1,000.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you and you keep whatever rights your local law gives you.
Changes to these terms
We will update the date above when these change, and tell you in the app before anything significant takes effect. Continuing to use Chaos after that means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction — except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
